New Years’ Intention-Setting for MFTs (for Mothers Who Are Done With Unrealistic Expectations, Pressure & IG-Inflicted Nonsense)
This one-hour workshop is for mothers who genuinely want to prioritize and reconnect with themselves, perhaps don’t know where to begin, and are tired of standards and resolutions that don’t account for real life, like the invisible labor of the household, the mental load, the constant output of a mother’s energy.
Led by Elizabeth Wellington, MA, LPC, PMH-C, perinatal psychotherapist and co-founder of Moms Feelin’ Themselves, this session offers a grounded, no-BS approach to intention-setting that actually makes sense in motherhood. Instead of goal-setting rooted in external pressure or performance, we’ll narrow in on intentions that are aligned with your values, your emotional, physical and energetic needs, and the season of life you’re in with the resources that are available to you.
We’ll work through simple reflective prompts and embodied practices designed to help you tune into what you truly need, not what you “should” want. We’ll move gently between learning, reflecting, discussing, feeling, and connecting with the body.
This is not about becoming a better, more optimized version of yourself.
It’s about finally making the space to focus on YOU, letting go of unrealistic expectations together, reconnecting with your inner cues, and setting intentions that feel supportive, spacious, and sustainable.
